SMADAV IS NOT A COMPUTER ANTI-VIRUS

Most of the time I laugh when I ask some people what kind of anti-virus they are running on their computer and they say its ‘’smadAV’’. Have used this anti-virus for a while I know what it can do, it can do what other anti-viruses can’t do but you can’t depend on smadav to protect your computer from virus.

Sorry to say this but smadAV is a usb anti-virus and not a computer anti-virus, these are not my words but you can see that written just above the buy button. SmadAV does an excellent job protecting usb’s and revealing hidden files fixing registry errors. If you want real protection from for your computer from the real bad guys don’t expect smadAV to do the job, I recommend running smadav with a real computer anti-virus like windows defender or essentials, these two are my favorite because they are free and have a simple user interface. One thing I have observed is smadAV detect shortcut viruses in the usb and unhide the folders and fix whatever harm these viruses caused but it cannot get rid of the actual virus.



If you have a shortcut virus problem just know the actual virus is on the computer and not on the usb, the creators of the virus want you to think the virus is on the usb when it’s not. These is where the real computer anti-virus for windows comes in.wndows defender will detect the shortcut virus in no time and you have nothing to worry about. 

This is just to clarify that SmadAV is not a computer anti-virus but a usb anti-virus that provides additional protection on your computer. What I love about is that it works with almost any anti-virus so don’t depend on smadav to protect your computer from real viruses.
